Coffee Shop
In the recent time, coffee shops have become
more than just happening hang-outs, they are now vying with
nightclubs to become cool and gotta-be-seen- at places. A coffee
shop shares some of the characteristics of a bar, and some of the
characteristics of a restaurant, but it is different from a
cafeteria. Coffee shops are where it’s at. While the outdoor ones
that have opened after a hiatus are seeing full houses, add-ons
like live music have really orbited cafes into a league thus far
shared only by happening night clubs. However, if I were to define
a coffee shop it is a fast food restaurant that serves coffee. The
many coffee shops which have people like to frequent are:
Starbucks, Barista coffee, Bewley’s, Café Coffee Day, Daily Grind
coffee shop and many more. These coffee shops just don’t provide
coffee; the ambience there is what attracts people. From a cultural
standpoint, coffee shops largely serve as centers of social
interaction: the coffee shops provides social members with a place
to congregate, talk, write, read, entertain one another, or pass
the time, whether individually or in small groups.
Café ad Music
Earlier, just the odd coffee shop had a live
band performing. But today many others have joined the band wagon
and cafes are now places for both established and upcoming bands to
display their talent. According to most coffee shops regulars,
music blends very well with coffee and in future most new outlets
will feature a live band.
While music anywhere is a crowd puller, café
music has a dedicated crowd which is growing. According to industry
experts, for coffee shops, it’s all about footfalls and music and
football brings in more people.
Café versus Night Club
Coffee shops filled to the brim with people
seeking seating space can certainly compete with night clubs when
it comes to hangout popularity. Coffee shops are like a healthy
choice as chill zones. Coffee shops have become places for cool
people and it is definitely the in-thing to just hang around a
coffee shop.
Coffee shops are also the happening thing to do
on a daily basis. You cannot go out to a night club everyday.
Coffee shops have certainly become a cool place for cool people to
hang out.
Coffee shops are constantly brewing up new ideas
and add-ons to stay ahead of the competition which is on an
increase. An up-market coffee shop in a big city can sell anywhere
between 1200 to 1500 units of coffee per week day. On weekends, the
business goes up by about 30 to 40 percent.
Many coffee shops, in order to attract new
customers and maintain their old customers, have attractions like
palm readers, cartoonists and musicians installed so that they are
able to generate good business.
Coffee Shops as Business Meeting Centre
Many corporate honchos also schedule their
business meetings inside the coffee shops. This provides them with
a lighter ambience and there is also the availability of snacks and
coffees at one place. Since, most of the coffee shops are primarily
located; it makes them an ideal place to meet even for business
meets. For this reason, many coffee shops also have wi-fi
connectivity inside their coffee shops so that the executives can
work on his laptop while enjoying his cup of coffee.
